Students come from abroad for shorter or longer period can joint the social, cultural events at the university

  • to enhance interaction between Can Tho University students and foreign students outside the classroom environment;
  • to expose them to Vietnamese culture and traditions.

A diverse program of social activities, sport competition and university presentations has been set up in collaboration with the Youth Union.

The program can be adjusted and tailored to the needs of the students the moment a social class representative has been appointed.

CTU encourages our students to be active in sport. Football/soccer, basketball, badminton, table tennis could be participated by most students.

There are multiple options for international students with varieties of accommodation nearby the university.

CTU dormitory

- Located in the center of our main campus of the university. The rooms are equipped with: fridge, washing machine, TV, wireless internet, bed, chair and desk.

Hotel

- Varieties of hotels or hostels locate in the center of the city and take 5 to 10 minutes from/to the university by bike.

Homestay

- Homestay programs arrange for international students to live with local families in Can Tho City. In a homestay program, you will typically have your own room, but join the family for meals and take part in their normal daily routine. In most cases, host families tend to be families that have younger or teenage children themselves. Host families often choose to offer homestays because it’s a great way for their own children to meet with international students and be exposed to Vietnamese culture.
